Deb is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan, receiving her master’s degree in Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. With 30 years of experience, she began her career as a therapist in Wayne County providing substance use disorder (SUD) services in an outpatient, intensive outpatient and inpatient setting. She later transitioned to a community mental health (CMH) setting. During her time at CMH, her primary role was supporting people with severe and persistent mental health conditions both as a clinician and supervisor. She served on access, crisis services, case management, outpatient SUD and methadone clinic teams. In her supervisory role, her work was primarily with outreach teams including Assertive Community Treatment and Mental Health Courts. Ms. Willard is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Family Psychoeducation and holds a Certificate as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). Deb is committed to fostering education and professional development among individuals in the helping professions.
