Trina Poland is an experienced Certified Peer Recovery Coach who has dedicated her career to supporting others on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders. Trina has worked in the field for 6+ years and is currently employed at Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties. Her current role is the Adult Mental Health Services Lead Peer. As a survivor of alcohol, benzodiazepine, stimulant, and opioid use disorder, Trina uses her lived experience to bring a compassionate, person-centered approach to her work with consumers and other members of the recovery community. She can break down the unspoken barriers to recovery, empowering consumers to trust the process, accept community support and build a life worth living.
