Justin Tate, LMSW, is the Manager of the Family and Community Partnership section in the Office of the Advocate for Children, Youth and Families in the Bureau of Children’s Coordinated Health Policies and Support at MDHHS. Previously, he has worked as the Manager of Programs for Children with SED and as the Statewide Wraparound Coordinator during his seven years with MDHHS. Prior to working at MDHHS, Justin worked in the community mental health system, where he worked as a mental health therapist and wraparound facilitator for 10 years. Before joining the CMH system, Justin worked with homeless and runaway youth in the Lansing area. Justin graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Family and Community Services and went on to earn his master’s degree in social work at Michigan State University in 2011.
