Sarah Morrison, BSPH, CPS, A woman with a passion for prevention and public health. Certified Prevention Specialist and recipient of emerging leadership recognition in harm reduction and community education. Sarah Morrison holds a Bachelor of Public Health from Wayne State University and has dedicated her career to serving youth, families, and communities across Wayne County. She has facilitated prevention programs in schools, trained community partners, and led public health presentations focused on substance use, gambling prevention, and overdose response. Sarah is a skilled facilitator of gambling and gaming prevention for youth, delivering curriculum that builds financial awareness, informed decision-making, and healthy coping skills. She has also educated adults on the intersection of online gaming and youth gambling, preparing communities to recognize emerging risks in the digital era. Her work includes breakout sessions at DWIHN conferences on youth gambling and on the harm of youth substance use for young adults. Prior to her current role, she served as an Overdose Rescue Trainer through AmeriCorps, expanding overdose response capacity through outreach, training, and resource development. Her commitment to evidence-based prevention is rooted in her early research experience at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, supporting data-driven public health initiatives.
